![]() In the late 1890s, Lafayette School #6 was built on Hamilton Avenue and Madison Streets. Construction of the present building began in 1982 and the dedication ceremony was held on May 7, 1984. In 1989, the Roberto Clemente Gymnasium was added. In, 2003-2004, a new prekindergarten addition has been added to the existing building.
Martin Luther King School #6 currently services more than 1000 students in grades prekindergarten through sixth. The staff consists of over 110 dedicated people hired by the Passaic Board of Education The Pre-school has opened 23 classrooms and expects full enrollment in the coming school year. The Passaic Community School also holds classes here on Tuesday evenings. |
