Martin Luther King Jr. School # 6 enjoys a modern computer lab with 30 pentium IV computers. Every class in grades 1 - 6 spends one period a week in the computer lab.  Classes may also sign up weekly for an additional lab period. Each homeroom teacher determines what should be covered in computer lab and the teacher also runs the lab.
Jump Start Typing, WiggleWorks, Internet research projects, math and language arts reinforcement, PowerPoint presentations, Microsoft Word reports and creating brochures in Microsoft Publisher are some of the typical classes.

In addition, our lab is used for teacher training, by NJ After 3, as well as for an evening community program.
Finally, our computer lab is open every morning at 8:00 AM for the students, who can used this time to catch up on classroom projects.
