MLanguage Arts Literacy

The students are working extremely hard as we continue our preparation for the NJASK.  We are working on prefixes and suffixes, contractions, compound words, decoding unfamiliar words, and vocabulary.  It is important that your child reads daily.  Ask them questions before they read, while they are reading, and when they have finished.  They are reading for comprehension.  Allow them to decode unfamiliar words on their own.

Math

Students are continuously using prior knowledge to complete math problems.  The students should be able to add and subtract digits to the thousand columns, multiply, divide, make change, tell time, and complete a multi-step math problem.  Please continue to work with your child on these math skills.
